The OP was asking about a perpetual time horizon.A 2.5% withdrawal rate is like a dream come true. Gives you room to spend more if needed or desired. A 60/40 portfolio at 4% withdrawal had a minimal change of ever coming up short. I would imagine that 2.5% has zero chance of failure from an investment point of view.
