I'd like to get more hassle free bloodwork done, specifically cholesterol and heart health related blood work, on a semi regular basis. I have an HSA, and was leaning towards that but in network testers like Quest make it so difficult to find out what exactly something would cost that I'm tempted to go to one of the 'off brand' sites that contract with Quest/Labcorp. Has anyone here used privatemdlabs or own your labs or any other lab providers? These seem not just more straightforward, but also cheaper.
A little bit concerned about where the data is going. Some of these participate in citizen science initiatives too and why I can appreciate that, they seem non-specific about how the blood work data is used.
Had good experience with privatemdlabs. Got NMR lipoprofile including LP(a). Source- I’m a physician and I read a lot.
