I like having a Roth balance. It means in lumpy years we can spend more money without putting us into a higher tax bracket.
My assumptions are tax rates will not change. Roth withdrawals will always be tax free. SS payments will continue as they are. Any of those assumptions could be wrong.
Under current tax laws we could remodel our house, and not pay extra tax for it.
