I’m in a similar boat as many of you. I self-manage a large balance and almost never bother my personal rep. This year, though, I had to deal with them a couple of times over my CMA account.
Like many of you, I’ve gotten TurboTax free through Fidelity for years. Seeing just a 25% discount this time was a shock. So, I reached out, played the “spoiled kid” card, and asked what’s happening...
The reply? A corporate “wait until January.” They said I’d get it for free, but I can’t tell if they’ll actually make an exception or if something got messed up on their end. I’ll wait, but I’m not holding my breath.
