Personal Investments • rebalancing in retirement

60/40 is a very common assett allocation. Whether or not it is right for your individual situation is something that we don't have enough information to answer.

I rebalance when I get around to it. Other folks have set triggers for when to rebalance. Others will rebalance on a schedule, be it yearly, quarter, monthly etc... There are still others that set an assett alocation and then just let the markets move it from there.

One suggestion you may want to look at is where you are holding your bonds and your equities. Take a look at the wiki on tax efficient placement.
