I'm intrigued by the new Land Crushers too... But I want to 'wait and see' on these, I would like another year or two of reliability data to come in on the new engines. I currently have a 2005 Tacoma with 190k on it that has been extremely great, only minor repairs and normal maintenance needed.I am as well, though I'm uncertain how much the longevity factor plays in with the new turbo 4 cylinder hybrid getups. It seems like an naturally aspirated engine would more easily run 250k miles or more.I'd be interested in the new 2025 hybrid Land Cruiser if it was a little less lengthy.
Do we have better data now on all these electronics, sensors, etc that are in recent cars? We might well have it, I just haven't seen something definitive on it.
I've never spent close to 60k on a car so that bothers me. We can "afford it" by any measure- but have gotten to FI by creating an environment of artificial scarcity. So that reflex is hard to go against.
